THANKS TO YOU

There is no doubt in my mind that my interest in writing would have long ago dimmed like the embers of an old campfire if it weren’t for you folks. You, the members of our little writing group, year after year, continue to ignite within me the desire to keep writing. Each month when I add a new subject to our website my mind starts formulating little glints of ideas into what I hope will be a masterpiece of creative writing, worthy of publication, but, as the days fly by those glimmers of light start to fade. Then, out of the cyberspace world comes an email submission from one of you to be uploaded to our website. That obscure urge to write again flares and my mind kicks into gear, my eyes become transfixed on the computer screen as that first draft starts to appear.

It may take several email submissions from the group to counter the ease with which I can slide back into procrastination. But finally, as is the case this morning, my desire overcomes and once more the feeling of accomplishment and self-satisfaction rewards my meager effort.

Without our group I’m afraid those embers would have cooled and died out years ago, so to each of you in our Northern Scribblers Group I want to voice a big THANK YOU.
