THANK YOU

Thanking someone for something really big and really personal is difficult to do, particularly on a public site. I thought about all the other things that people have done and I decided to thank some of them. . What they may have done could have been a small act of kindness, but it had a huge impact. I'd like to share some of those special moments in my life.
*thank you for taking my car in for a car wash, then detailing it totally, inside and out so I came over after to work to find my car looked brand new. What a lift.
*thank you for being at our house, first thing in the morning on a snowy day to shovel the driveway when Richard was recovering from his surgery.
* thank you for carting over a big box of kindling and other wood, already chopped, that cold January day.
* thank you for always being so loyal and supportive of me, even at times when it may have been hard for you.
*thank you, Mr. Nelmes, my Grade 6 teacher, for putting my feet on the career path I would follow all my life.
* thank you for remembering a very small thing I had done for you and my class over thirty years ago and making me realize that small things can leave a huge impact.
*thank you for doing your best to complete the Terry Fox Run when you were so weak from your own cancer treatments
*thank you for showing me that when you were so ill and undergoing so much, you could be cheery and positive.
*thank you for always having a warm smile, a caring heart and such joy in seeing us each day.
* thank you for becoming another sister and for just being there.
* thank you for giving me the words I needed even though I didn't want to hear them.
*thank you, stranger, for holding the door for me, and giving me a big smile on a day when I was feeling sad.
*thank you, ladies, for carrying a bag on your daily walks and picking up litter to help make our streets a better place.
*thank you, my truly good and special friends for believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself.
Little things really do mean a lot.
