Living in rural Canada we are surrounded by wildlife. It's common year round to have deer and moose on the property. The deer can be a pest but you learn to live with them. One often sees coyotes and wolves out on the ice during the winter. Occasionally we see such odd things as mountain goats and caribou passing through. We also enjoy a wide variety of birds, both migrating and resident. Foxes are a favourite.

Moose come down to feed during the winter months.   Mountain Goat passing through looking for new territory.   One of several foxes in the area. We have a fox den within 150 feet of our house.   Just a few of the birds visiting our feeders during the winter months.
Tawney, the red fox pup from the den close to our house. She tried to adopt us.   Bald Eagle perched on a favourite spruce tree in front of our home.   Mule Deer are a common sight in our yard year round. They frequent our garden and flower beds.   One of many squirrels around our home. They provide our dog with hours of fun.
